Morning Crystal is a self-branding project. I approach this project in the most personalized way through the letters of my name. There are several reasons for this approach. The first reason is that my full name is not very common, and I think it is distinctive enough for branding. Another reason relates to the Vietnamese language. Since every syllable has its meaning when putting it in a word, I want to take advantage of this characteristic to create a concept that suits my image.
Concept
The concept of the project originates from two words of my name. With the chosen words, I pick one out of many meanings of that single word.
Derives from the word Mai, which can understand as early morning.
Is from the word Ngoc in my name, which means pearl, one of the crystal.
Visual Style
Color
I want the palette to have a mysterious and luxurious feel.
Typeface
Biko font family holds a modern, minimal, and confident feel that I want to express through this self-branding project.
Logo
I chose the logotype for its familiar mood and the flexibility in usage.
Supporting graphics
The supporting graphics are another elements that derive from two words Mai and Ngoc.
The event invitation is like the first impression of an event, and I want to create a distinct impression on the person who will receive it. Therefore, I design an invitation wrapped in crystal origami.
It is a good week to have a great week - A new week doesn't always go smoothly, with a little bit of positive energy will be the perfect spice to start a productive week.
Besides the required designs, to promote me as a graphic and UX/UI designer, I have designed a motivation pack to gift clients and people who go to my events.
My motive for designing this comes from the core purpose of UX/UI design, which is to empathize and understand people.
